THE EVOLUTION AND THE SPATIAL EXPANSION PATTERN OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY NETWORK IN THE YANGTZE RIVER DELTA REGION BASED ON INTERFIRM INVESTMENT RELATIONSHIP

Abstract:The development of information technology has profoundly changed human production and lifestyle as well as socio-economic organizational models, bringing about a drastic transformation of urban and regional space. Based on the equity correlation data of digital economy enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, this paper constructed a weighted digital economy industrial investment network with prefecture-level cities and counties as the study units. This paper studied the evolution characteristics of the network of the digital economy of the Yangtze River Delta from 2010 to 2020, and summarized three spatial expansion modes of core expansion, node expansion and edge expansion. The research findings are as follows: (1) From 2010 to 2020, the polarization process of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy network gradually slowed down, and the network gradually became stable and centralized. (2) The core region of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy network basically covered Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. (3) The Yangtze River Delta digital economy network presents a "diamond + radial" spatial structure, and the triangle formed by Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo occupies the center of gravity of the entire structure. (4) The overall network of the Yangtze River Delta digital economy has experienced a stage of focusing on core expansion and paying equal attention to core expansion and node expansion.
